What is S.H.E.?

S.H.E.™ is an abbreviation for Sidetracked Home Executives, a system of home management taken from the book of the same name written by Pam Young and Peggy Jones. Other terms you may hear include Sidetracked, SHE cards and Slob Sisters. They refer to concepts presented by Young and Jones in their books.

Here are some common abbreviations used on this site:
- SHE - Sidetracked Home Executives
- BWP - Basic Week Plan
- OMM - On My Mind Card
- P&P - Pam Young and Peggy Jones, authors of the S.H.E. books
Here are some additional abbreviations used as shorthand online:
- DH - Dear Husband (or D%$# Husband, as the case may be)
- SIL, MIL, BIL - Sister-in-law, Mother-in-law, or Brother-in-Law
- DK, DD, DS - Dear (or D%$#) Kid, Daughter or Son
- IMHO - In My Humble Opinion
- LOL - Laughing out loud

This site explores the original card file method introduced by Pam Young and Peggy Jones' book, Sidetracked Home Executives , originally published in 1977.
Since that date, the "SHE classic" card file system has been used successfully by thousands of S.H.E.s.--and although Flylady's system is different, it is still built upon the same basic principles taught in this book.
With all due respect to Marla Cilley, there is no "one right way" to get organized. If Flylady's version of S.H.E. works for you, great! But for many of us, "SHE classic" is still the way to go, cardfiles and all.
